This is the  CRAFTS ART COURSE for those who do not want to take the oil painting course in learning to draw and paint (www.Interactiveartschool.com) but rather want to focus on design, drawing, color theory, composition, perspective AND add landscape and figure to the underlying basic principles of design and drawing and color for their stained glass, glass mosaics, fused glass, tile mosaics, jewelry design, pottery, tattoo art & other visual crafts.

I've had craftspersons who apprenticed or self trained their way into their craft with little or no drawing or art . . . or as they state "inadequate" drawing and design training. They want to get to draw better and get training in the basic principles that all visual expressions are based on to better sketch their concepts for themselves and/or clients and to draw their designs before working in their chosen craft materials.

3. We set up your Personal WEB folder on the school WEB site where you will receive your Lesson Assignments, Lesson Critiques and sometimes Special eBooks supplementing your printed textbooks.
4. You do each Lesson Assignment at your own pace (you have up to 30 months to complete the course or you can rush through it in weeks if you have the time to focus). Most of your studying and artwork are done away from the computer.
5. You use your digital camera to take pictures of your Lesson Assignment Art and send them as email attachments to the school at: Barry@Bridgemillartcenter.com
6. I then do a written/drawn and in some cases colored CRITIQUE of your lesson showing how you could have done it better, better understood and applied the underlying principles of the lesson, etc.
7. At the end of the six Lessons, I send you a CD with all your Critiques and next step suggestions.

COURSE CONTENTS:
Lesson 1 includes two Heavily Illustrated Art Textbooks, one on basic traditional drawing techniques and one on geometric drawing (key to many crafts projects). The assignment is a multipart drawing assignment.

(For Lesson 1 and all the following Lesson Assignments, I do a personalized drawn Critique of your Lesson Drawings and post it to your Personal WEB folder on the school site and then email you that your Lesson Critique is on the WEB for you to view 24/7)

Lesson 2 includes a Heavily Illustrated Art Textbook on COMPOSITION. The assignment is a multipart drawing assignment.

Lesson 3 includes a Heavily Illustrated Art Textbook on COLOR THEORY.  The assignment is a multipart drawing assignment.

Lesson 4 includes a Heavily Illustrated Art Textbook on PERSPECTIVE. The assignment is a multipart drawing assignment.

Lesson 5 includes a Heavily Illustrated Art Textbook on FIGURE.  The assignment is a multipart drawing assignment.

Lesson 6 includes a 2 Heavily Illustrated Art Textbooks on LANDSCAPES (one on drawing landscapes and one on color landscapes). The assignment is a multipart drawing assignment.

2. Multimedia Color Kit
This 51-piece set includes colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolor tubes, and more, all in a
beautifully stained hardwood carrying case. What a great gift for an aspiring young artist!
Also included are brushes, an eraser, a sharpener, and a palette. (sometimes comes in metal case/sometimes wood case). The three color tools (colored pencils, oil pastel and watercolor) give you the option of trying three different color tools to find what suits you and some people will find mixing the 3 media in part or whole comfortable.

Reason we do not show camera is that we have to match a digital camera to your computer system, connections and operating system. You have the option of taking the course for $100 less if you already have a digital camera or color scanner so we do not have to provide a digital camera (see Cost Page). Your digital camera must be at LEAST 1 megapixel resolution (640 by 480 resolution is inadequate to communicate your lesson art work to me. Email me if you need help determining this area.

MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION:
Q. Am I really going to learn what I need to this way or am I better off going to an accredited art school?
A. Sure you should go to the accredited art school (if you can get there and have the time and money involved up to the $100,000 four year art University) , or get a video or book . . . if you can learn alone from a video or book you choose. But I would say this - take my course, read the books I have selected for you (really read them through, twice each if you can) and do all the exercises in the books assiduously and then submit your final lessons assignment art work to me for mid-course correction and redirection and you'll get to a place my students in my full drawing and painting art course in Saudi Arabia, Mallorca, Malaysia, Grand Cayman, Australia, Great Britain, Canada and all over the USA have gotten.

I had a teacher at Pratt who said "paint two hundred paintings and you'll be a painter."
