Already Painting But Want to Improve ?
The idea: You send a
digital image of one painting and get a Professional One-On-One
Critique of your work and suggestions for future improvement.
There is no course to take, you do
not enroll in one of our art courses. You send in a digital photo of
on of your paintings and I do a One-On-One hand painted Critique of
your painting. This is for people who
are well along in their study and practice of oil painting, but feel
they need more direction at the point they are at.
Art Instructor Critiques
Your painting will receive a customized art instructor
critique in order to help you improve and expand as you learn how
to draw and how to oil paint. Critiques will use the following format:
- Your digital camera image.
- Art Instructor’s comments (words).
- Instructor’s visual (hand painted oils by me) with suggestions for improvement.
- Links to images and/or information on the Web that you will
find useful.
- Possible animations to clarify points and offer instruction.
- Possibly I will add links to Online Mini Lessons on the
school site that will help you with issues I feel you need more
information on
- I may recommend art textbooks that you might consider
buying that will help you improve in areas my review of your
work indicates you may need more information on.
Art critiques are posted to your Personal Page on the school site
for you to see 24/7/365. They are printable and will remain on the site
at the online art school for three years..

A Revolutionary Idea in Teaching Drawing & Painting
A detailed description of the

Prerequisites
There are things you will need to possess or obtain prior
to registering for a single critique of your painting. These skills are to ensure
that you are able to fully interact with your art instructor as you
learn how to improve your drawing and oil painting
You should have:
- A digital camera or scanner to digitize (shoot digitally)
your paintings and attached the digitized images to an email to
me to have your Critique done and posted to your Personal Page
on the school web site.
- Your camera should have Auto-Focus so the image you send is
sharp
- If you do not have a digital camera we can supply one at
extra cost
A digital scanner can be used if you have one instead of a
digital camera
- The issues with digital scanners is the size they can scan
(some people paint really large) and wet oil paintings and
scanners are an issue, but scanners can do very sharp scans if
your dry oil paintings fit the scanner imaging area.
- Unlimited use of a computer with Internet access.
- A computer with a CD-ROM drive.
- A monitor capable with VGA or Super VGA ability.
- The ability to send and receive emails with attachments.
- High speed Internet access – if possible. Dial-up access
is acceptable, but will slow your progress in viewing your critiques.
I can help you to:
- Use your digital camera.
- Upload and send images of your artwork from your camera.
